Arched roof as a canopy for Grunwald

After a flying roof built in 2018, Peneder realized a canopy for a new hall and the balcony above it at Grunwald GmbH from Wangen im Allgäu in 2022/23 on behalf of the Burk company from Ravensburg. 

The special thing about it is that the entire roof area is supported by a steel structure, which lies above the arched roof. For this purpose, the roof shells were assembled from below and attached to the steel structure above. This creates a floating or rather flying roof structure.

The arched roof was convincing due to its beautiful appearance and the special character of the shell geometry. A special solution that, at the customer's request, conceals the steel structure when viewed from below and has an attractive effect.
