The groundbreaking on July 6th, 2020 opens a new chapter in the history of the family business HATEC Automatisationsges.mbH. In the immediate vicinity of the previous location on the southern edge of Klagenfurt, the new headquarters of the expert for industrial automation and process simulation are to be built by the end of 2020. The hidden champion with customers from all over the world is investing around 2 million euros in the new headquarters. The two-story competence center with 920 m2 of usable space will be equipped with modern offices, simulation studios and a robot laboratory. The Upper Austrian general contractor Peneder is responsible for planning and construction.
Fit for the future
Slowly but surely, the space at the established location was becoming too small. The logical consequence was the commissioning of a new building in the industrial area on Klagenfurt's Südring. “The decision was made in favour of Klagenfurt, because we want to support the city as an innovator. At the new company headquarters, we can fully utilize our know-how and build a competence center for the digital factory of the future. In addition, the new building gives us the opportunity to grow by one or two employees a year,” explains DI Dr. Björn Kraiger, managing director of HATEC Automatizationsges.mbH.
The new headquarters bundles the uses of research, hands-on training and administration under one roof. Production and logistics processes will be programmed, visualized and optimized in the simulation studios. The results are digital plant twins, which make it possible to virtually put complex industrial plants into operation.
“With the ultra-modern new building, we are setting a major milestone in our more than 30-year history. With Peneder we have found the ideal partner for the implementation of our ideas, who inspired us with a tailor-made concept. Thanks to the complete range, we can fully concentrate on our core business,” emphasizes Mag. Jens Felix Kraiger, Managing Director of HATEC Automatizationsges.mbH.
