Peneder is constructing for Agilox
With the ground-breaking ceremony in the industrial park of Neukirchen near Lambach, AGILOX Systems GmbH has laid the foundation for further growth. In future, several locations are to be united under one roof at the new headquarters. At the same time there are also plans to increase production capacity. The innovation leader in the field of development and production of intelligent logistics robots is investing more than 7 million euros in the new modern building. The new company headquarters, including an office block and an assembly hall, will be realised by Peneder - specialists for industrial and commercial construction based in Atzbach. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2020.
The Upper Austrian company AGILOX Systems GmbH develops and produces intelligent logistics robots. Renowned companies such as BMW, Lufthansa, DHL, VW and Siemens rank among its customers. In view of its extensive leading-edge know-how, several patents and considerable innovative strength, rapid growth is inevitable. In 2019, the logistics pioneer with a workforce of 45 was able to more than double its turnover to 13 million euros. The sales forecast for 2020 is 22 million euros.
Space for growth
The new company location marks a logical step in the continued pursuit of rapid growth. Similarly, the start of construction of the new headquarters represents a consistent investment in increasing productivity. As of 2021, 500 logistics robots will be produced annually in the new plant in single-shift operation. To this end, the company will also significantly increase its personnel; 30 additional employees will be taken on in the first two years after completion. The planned development will create new jobs in the Hausruck district, while at the same time further boosting the regional economy. In this way AGILOX is making a clear commitment to the region. This growth is supported financially by the Raiffeisen Banking Group of Upper Austria, which is involved as a shareholder in AGILOX through its affiliated companies and which will also finance the new building.
"It will soon be called high-tech made in Neukirchen near Lambach. With today's ground-breaking ceremony, AGILOX has set a further milestone in its highly successful corporate development. AGILOX stands for everything that makes Upper Austria so successful as a business location: a clear commitment to regionalism, which is also expressed by the new location; the great strength and dynamism of medium-sized enterprises and the enormous competence and innovative power, through which our domestic companies are increasingly attracting attention on the world market. Our goal is to bring work to the people and not the other way around - with this company location, we're once again strengthening rural areas," comments Markus Achleitner, Regional Economic Councillor, delighted with this investment in his home region.
Inspiring working environment that boosts productivity
With modern offices, a dining room suffused with light and inviting terraces, the architecturally sophisticated office complex offers an extraordinary working environment across 1,500 m2. Peneder architect and chartered engineer, Ivo Kux, explains: "We have translated the values of this team-orientated company into architecture. The new headquarters will promote the creative development of ideas and the team spirit of AGILOX in the best possible way".
The 2,150 m2 assembly hall and storage building was tailored precisely to meet the requirements of flow production. Short walking distances and a well-conceived machine and workplace arrangement ensure high productivity. "The Peneder team understood our requirements from the start and came up with a design that impressed us. The unique architecture, energy efficiency and optimal process planning make the new company headquarters fit for the future. Thanks to the comprehensive range of services from planning to handing over the keys, we can now focus exclusively on our core business and on our planned growth," emphasises Franz Humer, CEO and co-founder of the AGILOX Group.
Sustainable business development
A PV system with a capacity of 40kWp will supply the headquarters with green electricity. Furthermore, six charging stations for electric vehicles are also planned. Several green areas will be created around the headquarters to minimize soil sealing. Peneder took expansion scenarios into account in the design, which will prepare the company for future growth.
Harald Föttinger, Managing Director of Peneder Bau-Elemente GmbH, Business Unit Building Solutions, sums it up: "Our mission is to provide our customers with competitive advantages by offering a customised industrial facility. We are proud that a technology leader like AGILOX trusts in Peneder's innovative power and creativity on its way to becoming the world market leader".
